US First Lady Melania Trump has strongly denied any connection to Jeffrey Epstein, calling the claims “lies” in a rare public statement.
Speaking publicly, Melania said she has never had any relationship with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. She stressed that the accusations against her are false and harmful to her reputation.
She also rejected claims that Epstein introduced her to her husband, Donald Trump. According to her, she met Donald Trump at a party in New York in 1998, and not through Epstein.
Melania admitted that she may have been present at some of the same social events as Epstein in the past. However, she said this was normal in high-profile social circles and did not mean they had any personal connection.
In her statement, she made it clear that she had no involvement in Epstein’s crimes and said the “lies” linking her to him must stop.
The First Lady also called for public hearings so that victims of Epstein can share their stories and seek justice. She said such steps would help bring out the truth.
Her remarks come as public interest in Epstein’s connections to powerful figures continues. Melania’s response appears aimed at addressing rumors directly and clearing her name.
